Admission Process

DPS Patiala started in April 2013 and is now into its 10th Academic Session. Being a young school of DPS Society, it is our earnest desire to nurture the young fertile minds by positive development through excellent academic and extra-curricular inputs. The school ensures that students coming from diverse communities, regions, and backgrounds are given a common platform and equal opportunities.

Currently, the school has classes from Kindergarten to Class XII. The school follows the following admission criteria-

A child entering the school in Nursery should be 3 years or above as on March 31st for admission in the upcoming academic year which begins in April every year.

The same criterion is applicable to KG-I, KG-II & Std. I adding a year, each respectively. Admission from class II onwards will be based on the students Transfer Certificate and Result in the previous school.

The prospective students, starting from those seeking admission into Class II and above will be given an aptitude / entrance test based on the performance of which the child will be admitted to the school.

The assessment interaction for Nursery, Kindergarten and the Class I checks on the child’s reasoning, cognitive, language and numerical skills. Classes II-V assessment tests are formulated to test the skills learnt in the previous class in English and Mathematics.

Classes V onwards the assessment tests the skills learnt in the previous class in English, Mathematics and Science.

The Admission Process begins with the registration of the child at the school admission desk followed by the submission of the admission form accompanied with all the following supporting documents.
