Confluencia 2021- The first Alumni Meet

Delhi Public School Patiala hosted its first Alumni Meet – “Confluencia 2021” on December 23rd with fervour and vigour. The meet was attended by 50 alumni of Delhi Public School and belonged to batches 2018-19,2019-20, 2020-21. The programme started with the traditional lighting of the lamp and Sarasvati Vandana. A fun-filled cultural extravaganza was organized for the alumni including a western dance presentation, a medley of popular Bollywood numbers, a “Bhangra” & “Gidha” presentation amongst others.

All the invited students also attended the formal badge ceremony where each of them received a token of remembrance from their alma mater. They have also presented a T-Shirt with the insignia of the event. The teachers had put together a beautiful compilation of the pictures of the alumni from their school tenure at DPS Patiala. It was a trip down memory lane and the alumni went nostalgic watching the presentation of their school days memories.

Principal Mr Santosh Shukla addressed the alumni inspiring and motivating them to give their best in their chosen fields and also to stay connected with their Alma mater. The ex-head boys and council members amongst the alumni also shared their thoughts and words of gratitude.

The day ended with a plantation drive for all the previous batches followed by a luncheon and a dance party. They also enjoyed fun games and limited-overs cricket matches. Students were seen penning their feelings on the “Accolades” board set-up for them. Each student thanked the management, the teachers and their juniors for making the day a memorable one. Students went around the campus and relived the cherished memories of the bygone times. It was also a day when they took time to meet their primary and middle-level teachers, who had played a key role in shaping their formative years.
